Welcome

March, 2023

Welcome to my new site! At the time of writing, we’re about six weeks away from the release of Letting Glow, so you’ll definitely be reading this awhile after I’ve posted it. I was just looking over the development of the site, and at what a stellar job Kyle Newton has made of it (you’ll be hearing more about him from me in the future), and thought I’d have a go at scribbling down a blog post. Then it just hit me, right after typing the first couple of words: today is another anniversary, and if you’ve read Letting Glow you’ll know that this is how things seem to work… Today it’s two years since I stood in front of friends and family in a small chapel on the Isle of Wight, and celebrated my mums transition from this world to the next. As I glance at the time on my laptop now, needless to say, it’s two years to the hour, if memory serves me right.

I don’t know why it works like this. Always these dates around the events that changed my life and bought us all to the book Letting Glow, and now it would seem to the website too.

This isn’t a day I’ve been keen to remember so far, but here it is and here it shall be every year that I’m breathing. But, today in particular is a reminder that the books, and now this blog, appear destined to reach you with these subtle nudges of why they were written in the first place.

So back to the site, and what you can expect from it. First off, I’ll be updating this blog whenever I see fit. It might be daily, weekly, or monthly, but I’ll keep you posted on events, talks, signings, workshops, occasional musings and meditations, and of course further developments with the Letting Glow Trilogy. You may have spotted on the Home page that Book Two is on its way.

I’m also keen to hear your thoughts on Letting Glow. I’m currently suffering a state of continuous mild anxiety as the official release day approaches. When I wrote it, I was in a deep pocket of grief and poured all of my feelings into it. I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do with it. I was toying with the idea of keeping it to myself, but I sent if off to around ten publishers wondering if anyone would be interested at all. I expected to have to send it to hundreds. The first one to respond was a Chicago based publisher who told me that it was a rambling mess which perhaps had potential if I was willing to work on it. I thought it was a fair assessment and asked what I could do to make it better.

Then the others replied.

Within days I was offered four traditional publishing contracts who all seemed super keen and excited about the book, and more came over the following weeks. I went with O-Books, they offered a very transparent publishing process where I could already see the internal exchanges between editors and reviewers, and everyone who read it appeared to have been touched by it, one of them even claimed it had bought him to tears. I certainly wasn’t prepared for that kind of response. The whole publishing process would be available to me in real time, from cover designs, to how many books are printed and which bookstores would stock them. I loved the openness and being included in the publishing progress, and went with them. They’ll also be printing Book Two.

On the Events page you’ll be able to see where I’m going to be as the years unfold. I’ll post updates about t.v, podcast and radio appearances, as well as live events and magazine articles I’ve written. Letting Glow will be featured in the May 2023 edition of ‘Psychic News’ magazine, as well as on mysticliving.com, and kindovermatter.com will be running an article and hosting a book giveaway competition for Letting Glow. As of writing, I’m scheduled to appear at the ‘Big Purple Psychic and Holistic Fair’ on June 4th, in Chessington, in the U.K. I’ll be giving a talk on spiritual awakenings, and I’ll have a small corner where I’ll be signing copies of Letting Glow and will have plenty of time to chat. The following weekend I’ll be at the ‘Kent Wellness Festival’, where I’ll be giving another talk. There’ll be over 65 hours of practical classes from experts in the industry, including world famous hypnotist Paul McKenna. And then I’m very much looking forward to ‘The Healing Weekend Holistic Festival’ from July 14th to 16th, tucked away in a field in Somerset. I’ll be there all weekend, camping overnight and giving a talk on Saturday the 15th about connecting with the present moment. Tickets for all events can be purchased through the links on the Events page. I’ve no doubt that more events will be added as the year moves on.

Last but not least, I’ll be updating the Shop page to include online courses, workshops, one to one Zoom calls, and I’m also working on a members club where we can get together online and talk once a month (or maybe more frequently, I’m still figuring it out) about all things spiritual with like minded people and special guests. I’m thinking of calling it the ‘GlowCircle’, what do you reckon? It’ll be a way to stay on track and hold one another accountable as we grow as intuitives. You can of course also order a copy of Letting Glow from the Shop page, and be sure to let me know if you want a personalised note as I’ll be shipping them myself from my local post office!

Alright, thank you for stopping by! Leave a comment below or get in touch with me on social media. I’m most active on Instagram, and also be sure to check out my YouTube channel @lettingglowthebook. I look forward to speaking with you very soon, and perhaps even meeting some of you out on the road!

Phill
